Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific orthopedic conditions.
• Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, electrical stimulation, and patient education to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
• Guide patients through active and passive exercises, focusing on muscle re-education and functional training relevant to their daily activities.
• Monitor patient progress closely, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal rehabilitation outcomes and quality of life improvements.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding care strategies, self-management, and safe exercise techniques to encourage independence and recovery.
• Engage in regular communication with team members to coordinate care and discuss patient progress, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will primarily work with diverse patients who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions impacting mobility and functionality. Your empathetic approach will provide relief and support to patients dealing with joint pain, post-operative rehabilitation, sports-related injuries, and degenerative conditions. You will play a crucial role in helping individuals regain strength, mobility, and confidence in their physical abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program or its equivalent, with preference for higher degrees.
• An active state physical therapy license in Florida, or eligibility to obtain one.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy settings.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, with proficiency in developing and executing effective rehabilitation plans.

Preferred Experience

• Preference for candidates with board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
