We are seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary group of System, Hardware and Software Engineers. Deliverables include:
- Provide technical support and clarification of requirements to software development teams, and test personnel.
- Perform system engineering analyses including trade studies, use case development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification.
- Support definition of operations concepts and procedure planning/ development, interfacing with personnel from other organizations.
- Support technical interchange meetings with the team members and other program personnel and represents the organization in matters pertaining to the development of their project.
- Support engineering change proposal efforts as needed
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in systems engineering Current SECRET Clearance Understanding of the complete Systems Engineering lifecycle from CONOPS through sustainment and deployment and Experience developing system and subsystem level requirements and designs for hardware and software implementations Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) Experience in Agile processes and scrum Experience planning, developing, and executing system and/or subsystem level integration and test Experience managing data and performing analysis using Microsoft Excel, MATLAB, Simulink, or similar tools. Experience with UNIX or Linux operating System, such as Oracle Solaris or Red Hat Enterprise Linux Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Ability to travel in support of the program
Additional Information
- Experience in the System engineering, development, and operation of Air Traffic Management System
- Experience with flight test planning and execution
- Working knowledge of COTS servers, workstations, and networks
- Experience presenting to the customer and senior level management
- Experience using Python or other software development languages for purposes of data parsing, analysis, and visualization
- Experience modifying and administering networked UNIX or Linux operating System, such as JumpStart or Automatic System Loader (ASL)
- Product Owner or Scrum Master experience on a cross-functional development team
- Experience with Atlassian tool suite such as JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, and Bitbucket
- Experience using CAMEO
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.

Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
