Senior Staff Accountant

Department: Practice Accounting Salary Range: $70,000 – $95,000 annually Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to serve as a key financial partner to physician practices. This role acts as a "mini-CFO" for assigned locations, providing financial insight, operational support, and business analysis to help drive informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a Management Services Organization (MSO) environment and enjoy building relationships with physicians and practice leadership. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary financial liaison for assigned physician practices. Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances, trends, and operational drivers. Provide meaningful commentary and recommendations to support business decisions. Partner with physicians, practice administrators, and operational leaders to review financial performance. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Collaborate with finance and operational stakeholders to support growth initiatives and strategic objectives. Maintain accurate financial reporting and support ongoing process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Prior experience working within a Management Services Organization (MSO) environment required. Strong financial analysis, reporting, and business partnering skills. Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to various stakeholders. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Experience supporting healthcare practices or physician groups is highly preferred.
