A.M. Utility Helper (Layer Cake)

Job Title: AM Utility Helper (Layer Cake) Business Unit: Production Function: Utility Helper Reports to: Dean Groce General Summary Utility helpers will be responsible for general sanitation and waste disposal, substitute for all mixing areas, operate processing and packing equipment, and palletize finished product. Employees will be required to follow all PPE requirements as set forth for the plant, including uniform, safety glasses, hearing protection, non‑slip footwear, gloves, hairnet, and mouth/nose covering. Employees will be expected to maintain a safe and clean work area. This position will also require flexibility to cover mixer/scaler positions in toast/loaf, puff pastry, layer cake, and votation. Primary Responsibilities Work in puff pastry area, toast/loaf area, and layer cake area. Be trained in all three areas. Perform general sanitation and waste disposal. Operate processing and packing equipment. Palletize finished product. Substitute for all mixing areas as needed. Additional Responsibilities Hours may vary depending upon assigned position and production needs. Lifting of 50 pounds or less may be required. Lift truck certification will be necessary. Education & Experience Minimum: High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manufacturing experience preferred. Certifications & Licenses None required beyond lift truck certification. Work Environment Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud noise levels.
