Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate billing, claim processing, and payment collection. The ideal candidate is familiar with the full revenue cycle and thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Submit accurate medical claims to insurance providers
• Review and verify patient billing information
• Follow up on denied or unpaid claims
• Post payments, adjustments, and reconcile accounts
• Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing issues
• Maintain accounts receivable and work to reduce outstanding balances
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies

Qualifications

• 12+ years of medical billing experience required
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and billing platforms
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
