Job Title: Float Pool RN Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location; 2 years working as a Traveler License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float to 8 different units Telemetry monitoring experience Ability to perform cardiac drips Experience reading telemetry strips Description: This position requires a flexible RN to float throughout various Med/Surg Tele areas. The role involves cardiac monitoring, including reading and interpreting telemetry strips every four hours. Experience managing cardiac drips is essential. Clinician to patient ratios are up to 5:1 during the day and up to 6:1 at night. The patient population includes care for ED border patients and medication management in acute mental health settings. Units vary in size, with bed counts ranging from 8 to 41. The charting system utilized is EPIC. Candidates must possess strong telemetry skills and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
