Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of clients to determine their mental health and substance use needs.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to individual experiences.

• Utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions, including solution-focused therapy, to support client well-being and recovery.

• Maintain detailed and confidential clinical records that comply with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to provide holistic and well-rounded care to clients.

• Provide education and support to patients and their families, helping them navigate the recovery process effectively.

• Stay informed about current research, treatment modalities, and best practices in mental health and substance use treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals in detoxification and early recovery stages, many of whom face co-occurring mental health issues. You will work collaboratively with patients, helping them to address both their psychological challenges and substance dependencies in an empathetic and supportive manner. This role requires a deep understanding of trauma-related issues and the ability to foster a safe therapeutic environment for clients from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• A current and valid LMSW license in the state of New York.
\n
• At least 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a mental health or addiction treatment setting.

• Demonstrated proficiency in various solution-based psychotherapy interventions focusing on addiction and trauma.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and teamwork within a treatment context.

• Adept problem-solving and critical thinking abilities with a passion for client advocacy.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote team setting, engaging in virtual consultations and team meetings regularly.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a detox or inpatient setting is advantageous.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to maintain patient documentation.

• Experience providing family therapy or working with family systems is a plus.
