Lecturer AY – Educational Leadership Job No: 556920 | Work Type: Instructional Faculty – Temporary/Lecturer | Location: Pomona | Department: Department of Educational Leadership, College of Education and Integrative Studies Responsibilities Teach assigned division courses in the department's curriculum and serve weekly office hours based on the assigned teaching unit load. Assignments may include late afternoon, evening, and/or weekend courses. Participate in department planning meetings and adhere to the time frame and schedule provided for the course. Required Qualifications A master's degree in Educational Leadership or a related discipline is required for teaching in the Preliminary Administrative Services Program and the Master of Science in Educational Leadership. A doctoral degree in Educational Leadership or a related discipline is required for teaching in the Educational Leadership Doctoral Program and a record of exemplary educational leadership professional roles. Preferred Qualifications For the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential and Master of Science in Educational Leadership, an EdD or PhD in Educational Leadership or a related discipline is preferred. Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and the ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching. Prior successful work experience in areas of educational leadership is also preferred. Salary and Benefits The initial rank and salary for lecturer faculty are based on professional experience and educational background. Initial appointments are for one semester only. Most new appointees are hired at Lecturer A or B rank and placed at the beginning of the range, not to exceed $6,221 per month. Classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are: Lecturer A: $5,507 – $6,677, Lecturer B: $6,221 – $13,224, Lecturer C: $6,825 – $14,523, Lecturer D: $8,593 – $15,211.
