Junior Administrative Support Specialist (3.5 Openings)

Contract: IDIQ Naval Postgraduate School Research and Educational Support Service (RES) IDIQ
Task Order: NPS Extended Campus Support Services
Location: Monterey, CA (Onsite at NPS)
Clearance: Public Trust
Salary: $42,000 -$45,000

Position Overview

We are seeking Junior Administrative Support Specialists to provide essential administrative and student‑support services for the Naval Postgraduate School's Extended Campus programs. These roles support academic operations, student services, scheduling, and program coordination within a higher‑education environment. Ideal candidates are organized, proactive, and comfortable supporting faculty, staff, and students in a dynamic academic setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and student support for academic programs and faculty.
• Assist with student records, enrollment coordination, and academic scheduling.
• Maintain databases, student information systems, and program documentation.
• Support the preparation of correspondence, forms, and administrative reports.
• Coordinate meetings, events, and academic activities as needed.
• Ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations and adherence to institutional processes.
• Serve as a reliable point of contact for faculty, staff, and students.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of administrative student support experience in an institution of higher education.
• BA/BS degree in administration, logistics, or a related professional discipline.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with student information systems , database management, and academic scheduling.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.

Additional Information

• These positions require onsite work at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
