We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to support blood drive planning, outreach, and promotional efforts for a nonprofit organization in South Carolina. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating events, managing details, and building strong relationships with community partners. The person in this role will help keep blood drive activities organized, communicate with host contacts, and work closely with the marketing team to increase awareness and participation.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for blood drive events to help ensure each program is organized and prepared for success.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for partner organizations, maintaining clear communication with on-site coordinators and host representatives.
• Collaborate with marketing staff to develop and distribute promotional content that supports attendance and donor engagement.
• Track event details, deadlines, and follow-up activities to keep campaigns moving forward efficiently.
• Assist with email outreach, direct marketing efforts, and social media promotion related to upcoming blood drives.
• Support event execution through flexible availability that may include first shift, second shift, and selected weekend hours.
• Maintain accurate records of event plans, communications, and related administrative activities.
• Follow up with partners after events to confirm next steps, strengthen relationships, and encourage future participation.• Experience in event coordination, marketing support, account coordination, or a similar administrative role.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and communications with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with email campaigns, marketing activities, direct outreach efforts, and social media tools.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with business and community partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external contacts.
• Flexibility to work a permanent 40-hour schedule that may include first shift, second shift, and occasional weekend availability.
• Background in wedding planning, event planning, or similar highly organized environments is helpful.
