Accounting Specialist
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for providing backup support to the Financial Services district by facilitating and performing a variety of administrative and accounting-related duties. Responsibilities include processing EFT authorizations, stop payments, warrant processing and tracking, deposits, agency inventory management, invoice processing, and other assigned duties.
Provide administrative support to Financial Services operations.
Process and track EFT authorizations and stop payments.
Assist with warrant processing and tracking activities.
Prepare and process deposits.
Maintain agency inventory records.
Process invoices accurately and timely.
Perform data entry and maintain organized financial records.
Support additional accounting and administrative functions as assigned.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to analyze information and provide quality, accurate work.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Notepad, and Google Email.
Experience maintaining accounting records using automated accounting or banking systems.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Knowledge of Lean Management principles and practices.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Previous data entry and clerical experience.
Some college coursework preferred.
Schedule: This position is 100% onsite, with interviews being conducted remotely.
