Project Executive

DPR Construction is seeking a Construction Project Executive with 15+ years of commercial construction experience to join our Bay Area business unit. The individual will be responsible for business development, contract negotiations, insurance requirements, and the high‑level execution, project controls, project engineering, cost, risk and business management of one or multiple projects in our Advanced Technology or Healthcare core markets. Responsibilities Managing all project team members (project managers, project engineers, superintendents, field office coordinators). Overseeing project teams ranging from 10–50 employees, mentoring, developing and training team members for fast‑paced growth. 100% detailed/hands‑on knowledge of project requirements and deliverables, including building processes and systems. Cost control, billing, collections, change management, and monthly status reporting. Complete understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and forecasting. Key point of contact with owner and architect, challenging and supporting on‑site and self‑perform work teams. Accountability for project completion, financials, critical success factors, and customer satisfaction. Active participation in regional operations (staffing, business planning, pre‑construction efforts, etc.). Qualifications 15+ years of project management/executive experience within DPR’s core markets. Experience in Life Sciences or Healthcare sector and working for a general contractor. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field. Excellent listening and communication skills. Ability to mentor others and lead by example. Ability to identify and resolve complex issues. Ability to create and support team morale. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Prolog or similar), accounting cost management software (CMIC or similar), and scheduling software (Primavera or similar). Strong work ethic and “can‑do” attitude. Comfortable managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Ideally, experience with advanced technology or higher education markets. Compensation and Benefits This is a salaried position with an anticipated starting pay range of $230,000.00–$300,000.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
