Details Hospital-based Float Pool role covering various Medical-Surgical units May float to Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU units as needed Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours weekly Varied weekend and holiday shift requirements No on-call responsibilities Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted) Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience required ASN required, BSN preferred Level 1 Trauma experience required Epic charting experience required Additional Information Provide direct nursing care and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members across various patient populations Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care Implement, monitor, and modify nursing interventions based on ongoing patient evaluation Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety Offer constructive feedback and precept staff from various units as needed Complete Unit Nurse Leader Training as needed Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible RTO limited to no more than 7 total days during the 13-week contract First-time travelers may be considered for this role American Traveler Job ID P-738107.
