Registered Nurse In The Mental Health Unit As a Registered Nurse in the Mental Health Unit at Wagoner Community Hospital, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients experiencing mental health challenges. Minimum Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oklahoma. Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or equivalent nursing degree. Experience in mental health nursing or related field. Preferred Qualifications BLS ACLS Experience with evidence-based therapeutic modalities. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients mental health status and develop personalized care plans. Administer medications and monitor patients for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness. Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in acute distress. Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team. Facilitate group therapy sessions and engage patients in therapeutic activities. Skills The required skills for this position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which will be utilized daily to evaluate patients mental health and develop appropriate care plans. Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with the healthcare team and educating patients and families about treatment options.
