Job Posting Title Assistant I (Hourly) Job Description Summary Provides clerical and administrative support to a departmental office or program. Job Description Description of Duties and Tasks Perform office duties in support of faculty, staff, and/or student efforts, including sending emails, data entry, and maintaining files. Gather, compile, and enter data, producing routine reports and documents. Maintain tracking systems and logs. Support the Distance Education Instructional Design Team. Knowledge Office procedures and practices. Customer service techniques. Remediating student-facing documents for accessibility. Skills Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Maintaining an established work schedule. Effectively using interpersonal and communication skills. Effectively using organizational and planning skills. Entering data, maintaining files, and performing other clerical duties. Effective customer orientation when working with a multicultural population. Technology Skills Must be able to troubleshoot basic technology issues. Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software. Required Work Experience Experience using video conferencing platforms. Experience troubleshooting technical issues. Required Work Equipment Must have reliable internet. Must have a computer. Physical Requirements Work is routinely performed in a standard office or similar environment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds. Safety Work safely and follow safety rules. Report unsafe working conditions and behavior.
