As a Security Officer - Access Ambassador in BOISE, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech and telecom location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role blends customer service and communication with a caring, people-first culture built on teamwork, integrity, and innovative support for a professional environment.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, credential verification practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location through attentive screening and documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Maintain logs, visitor records, and other required reports related to access control activity, deliveries, and security-related incidents.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, lobbies, and perimeter points as assigned, noting maintenance concerns and/or suspicious activity within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
