Maintenance EngineerJoin the Woodland Job Corps Center Team!Woodland Job Corps Center is seeking a reliable, skilled, and safety-conscious Maintenance Engineer to help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our students and staff.The Maintenance Engineer will perform routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance throughout the Center while supporting vehicle maintenance and transportation needs.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of Center facilities, equipment, and systems.Identify, document, and report maintenance concerns and safety issues.Track completed work and ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time.Schedule Center vehicles for preventive maintenance and repairs.Conduct vehicle inspections and maintain required vehicle documentation.Provide student transportation services as assigned.Supervise and mentor Work-Based Learning students when assigned, helping them develop workplace and industry-related skills.Model professionalism, accountability, and Career Success Standards when working with students.Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff, and students.Work collaboratively with other departments to support Center operations and student services.Maintain reliable attendance, productivity, and professional work standards.Perform other duties as assigned. Make an ImpactJoin Woodland Job Corps Center and help maintain an environment where students can learn, grow, and prepare for successful careers.o Performs maintenance and inspections of Center’s facilities and systems to ensure functionality and prevent disruption of student and staff services.o Completes, tracks and documents work status and notifies supervisor of issues and concerns.o May supervise Work-Based Learning students to enhance student’s employability skills and provide industry- relevant training.o Provides students with timely and efficient student transportation services as required.o Maintains appropriate vehicle documentation per DOL/Company requirements.o May be assigned to assist in other departments as required.o Schedules and delivers vehicles for preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary.o Conducts vehicle inspections and reports safety issues and concerns to supervisor.o Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.o Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.o Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.o Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.o Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.o Accepts direction and supervision from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions.o Other duties as assigned.High School Diploma or equivalent required. Advanced degrees preferred. Prefer previous experience working with youth. Must possess and maintain a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
