You can review the additional job description section on postings for documents that may be required.* Prior to submitting your application, please review and update (if necessary) the information in your candidate profile as it will transfer to your application.## Job Title:Clinic Nurse (RN) - Neuro Oncology## Department:James | James 300 G Floor Neuro Oncology Clinic**Scope of Position**The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute’s (OSUCCC-James) mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in their own plan of care, and reducing the length of hospitalization, the clinic nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care.**Position Summary**The Clinic Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and their family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Clinic Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.**Required Qualifications**Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit.\*Experience in relevant care setting preferred.## Additional Information:Provide specialized outpatient nursing care for patients with primary and metastatic brain and nervous system cancers. Responsibilities include patient assessment, symptom management, telephone triage, care coordination, treatment education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support patients throughout diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Ensure accurate documentation and delivery of compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care.## Location:University Hospital - Pavilion (0372)## Position Type:Regular## Scheduled Hours:40## **Shift:**First Shift***Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check.
