Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Night or Night only); shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on departmental needs; 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio; floating required to units of equivalent or lower acuity

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity unit caring for progressive care and medical-surgical patients with oncology focus
• 36-bed unit with daily census of 32 patients, primarily adults and geriatric populations
• Patient diagnoses include head and neck cancers, neuro-oncology, and brain tumors
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and social services
• 72 hours of orientation provided; oncology experience preferred but not required
• Equipment includes GE telemetry monitoring, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of current acute care RN experience in medical-surgical or telemetry specialty (must be actively working in specialty within last 12 months)
• Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of application
• EPIC charting system experience required
• BLS certification required; ACLS, NIHSS, and OCN preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy care/management required
• BiPAP/CPAP management and chemotherapy administration skills preferred
• Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Drain management experience (JP drains, Hemovacs)
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
