This Mechanical Assembler opportunity offers a chance to develop valuable fabrication and brazing skills while working on custom-built mechanical systems in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Every project is different, giving you exposure to mechanical assembly, copper pipe fitting, brazing, blueprint reading, fabrication, and testing. Whether you have experience in assembly, construction, plumbing, manufacturing, automotive repair, or farming equipment, this role provides an excellent opportunity to expand your skill set and advance your career.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assemble custom mechanical units and refrigeration rack systems from start to finish.
• Cut, measure, and fit copper piping and insulation using hand tools and tape measures.
• Perform brazing with an oxyacetylene torch to connect copper piping.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Build and install unit housings according to customer specifications.
• Work with a small team to complete complex assemblies in a fast-paced production environment.
• Assist with fabrication projects, including MIG welding opportunities when applicable.
• Maintain quality standards and follow all safety procedures.

• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Ability to stay active throughout the day, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and moving between workstations.

Work Schedule

Monday - Thursday | 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Work Environment

You'll work in a large manufacturing facility alongside a team of skilled assemblers building custom units from the ground up. The environment is fast-paced, hands-on, and focused on quality craftsmanship. Steel-toed boots and long pants are required, and while the shop can get warm during the summer months, fans provide airflow throughout the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ramsey, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
