Program Principal AI/ML

Role Description

We’re seeking a bold, independent thinker who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and technology transformation. You will serve as a trusted advisor to our most important customers, helping executive and technical leaders cut through ambiguity and chart a clear path forward. AI advisory and strategy have become a defining capability in this role - you will guide clients through enterprise AI readiness, use case prioritization, governance frameworks, and the architectural decisions required to move from pilot to production at scale.

You own the advisory relationship, shape the strategy, generate new opportunities, and solution the right approach for each client. You bring a bias for action, a high tolerance for ambiguity, and the credibility to stand in a room with a C-suite and say something they haven't heard before, then back it up.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Delivery & Advisory
  • You will engage directly with clients to cut through complexity and provide the expert strategic guidance and architectural direction needed to move transformation initiatives forward.

• Architectural Thought Leadership
  • You bring deep fluency in modern enterprise architecture frameworks and know how to apply them pragmatically.
  • You assess current-state architecture honestly, define the target state with clarity, and chart a pragmatic path between the two.
  • You design target-state architectures built for where the business is going, spanning application, data, integration, and AI layers.
  • You understand the relationship between business capability and technology architecture.
  • You are current on modern architecture patterns including cloud-native design, API-led integration, event-driven architecture, and AI-ready infrastructure.
• Customer Engagement
  • Strategic Consultation & Assessment
    • You engage with clients to understand their stated goals and underlying business challenges.
    • You facilitate strategy and planning workshops that drive real alignment.
    • You provide strategic guidance on how technology and enterprise architecture can enable business outcomes.
    • You assess clients' current IT landscape, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities.
  • Strategy Development
    • You translate assessment findings into actionable, prioritized strategic roadmaps.
    • You define clear goals, milestones, and success criteria for every initiative.
    • You work alongside client leadership to define strategic IT priorities.
  • Technology Evaluation
    • You evaluate emerging tech trends with a critical eye.
    • You provide clear guidance on technology adoption and implementation strategy.
    • You help clients evaluate platform and tooling options and make sound decisions.
  • Business-IT Alignment
    • You facilitate workshops that build shared understanding of strategic objectives.
    • You drive collaboration and communication across departments.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • You actively collaborate across practices and teams to shape modernization strategies.

  • You recognize opportunity signals in client engagements and shape them into compelling solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. Advanced degrees (Master’s, Ph.D.) are preferred.
• 10+ years relevant professional experience in strategic IT planning & designing.
• 5+ years' experience customer facing IT consulting and IT services organizations leading complex transformations.

Requirements

• Permanent position based out of Hanover, MD.
• Pay range: $190,600.00 - $286,000.00/yr.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
