Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, benefiting from the growing field of telehealth. Your workspace will be a virtual environment where you will interact with clients through secure video conferencing platforms. Our practice embraces modern technology to ensure that psychiatric services remain accessible to everyone, while also prioritizing client confidentiality and safety. In this position, you will maintain standard work hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a balanced approach to work and personal life.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to accurately evaluate clients' symptoms related to mood disorders, utilizing standardized tools and interviews to identify severity, frequency, and duration of issues.

• Develop collaborative and individualized treatment plans in partnership with clients, taking into account their unique experiences, goals, and preferences to ensure effective therapeutic outcomes.

• Implement evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders and encourage clients’ mental resilience.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, therapeutic options, and self-care strategies to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Continuously monitor and document clients’ progress using telehealth documentation systems, regularly adjusting treatment plans based on evolving client needs.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure integrated care and reinforce treatment approaches.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to enhance your clinical practice and ensure clients receive the most effective care.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development initiatives, enhancing your skills and contributing to the practice's cohesive therapeutic environment.

• Advocate for better understanding and de-stigmatization of mood disorders within the community, promoting awareness of mental health needs and available resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Rydges Counseling Center, you will primarily engage with individuals diagnosed with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety-related disorders, and bipolar disorder. Our diverse client base ranges from young adults to older populations, all facing unique life challenges that require nuanced therapeutic approaches. You will have the opportunity to work with clients of various cultural backgrounds, thus enriching your practice and enhancing your understanding of diverse perspectives in mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based approaches for treating mood disorders, specifically CBT and DBT.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology to facilitate seamless collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals involved in client care.

• Proven experience yielding positive outcomes in treating clients with mood disorders.

• Exceptional communication skills, fostering a trusting therapist-client relationship while addressing the needs of varied clientele.

Preferred Experience\n

While we welcome applicants with varying levels of experience, preference will be given to candidates who have at least 3 years of experience specifically working with mood disorders. Familiarity with telehealth practices and the ability to navigate virtual collaboration tools will greatly enhance your potential effectiveness in this remote setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials.
