Step Down RN - IMCU (Night Shift)

Schedule

Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Weekends required.

Job Description

The Step Down RN will provide crucial care in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), focusing on patients recovering from critical conditions. This role involves administering cardiac drips, post-catheterization lab procedural care, and management of tracheostomy and ventilated patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a step-down unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Coordinate care with other medical professionals and support staff.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 2 years of experience in a nursing role.
• Current RN license (Compact license preferred).
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry, managing drips, and care for trach/vent patients is essential.
• Preferred experience with Epic charting system.
