Senior Estimator – Commercial Construction
\nLocation: Fort Lauderdale, FL
\nSalary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year

\nAbout the Company
\nA well-established General Contractor based in Fort Lauderdale, FL is looking to add an experienced Senior Estimator to their preconstruction team.
\nThe company specializes in commercial, retail, healthcare, and multifamily construction , with projects typically ranging from $5M to $100M+ .
\nThe Role
\nThe Senior Estimator will be responsible for leading estimates from initial concept through bid submission, working closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and the operations team.
\nResponsibilities
\n- \n
- Prepare detailed estimates for $5M–$100M+ commercial construction projects \n
- Lead quantity takeoffs and review plans, specifications, and contract documents \n
- Develop conceptual, schematic, GMP, and final estimates \n
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals \n
- Manage bid leveling and identify scope gaps, exclusions, and discrepancies \n
- Work closely with Project Managers and Preconstruction teams \n
- Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities \n
- Develop project budgets and maintain accurate cost information \n
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and client presentations \n
- Assist with procurement and project turnover following award \n
- Provide pricing and estimating support for change orders when required \n

Requirements
\n- \n
- 7+ years of construction estimating experience \n
- Experience with a General Contractor preferred \n
- Proven experience estimating commercial projects valued at $5M+ \n
- Strong understanding of subcontractor scopes, construction costs, and project delivery \n
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings \n
- Strong knowledge of South Florida construction markets preferred \n
- Excellent communication and organizational skills \n
- Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software such as Bluebeam, OST, Procore, BuildingConnected, or similar \n
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required \n
