Job Description:

SCOPE: Prepares and inputs monthly journal entries and assists in the preparation and processing of payroll; performs special projects as requested by Accounting Director.

FUNCTIONS:

1. Assists in the month-end closing of accounting records for all companies in order to provide timely financial statements to the CFO/CEO.

2. Assists in the processing of payroll
3.Assists in reconciliations and provides accurate backup for all balance sheet accounts, upon request.

4.Maintains daily cash collection spreadsheets for all companies.

5. Perform special projects upon request from Accounting Director, or CFO/CEO.
6. Assist with preparation of requested information for the annual audit and tax returns.
7. Independently perform bank statement reconciliations of cash and investment accounts and reconcile other GL accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.

Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience.

Basic knowledge of accounting principles is necessary.
Working knowledge of Sage accounting software and Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
Should be familiar with General Ledger accounting and financial statement preparation.
Workday experience preferred
