About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Sales and Marketing for its foodservice distribution division. The successful candidate will be responsible for senior sales and marketing leadership, fiscal planning, strategy development, and target attainment. This role involves establishing sales territories and goals, leading sales training, and conducting market research. The VP will also be a key member of the senior leadership team, managing the sales and marketing department staff, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and government regulations. A critical aspect of the position is the analysis of market potential, monitoring competitive activity, and leveraging customer business drivers to increase market share. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years' experience in a sales leadership position within the foodservice distribution industry. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred, along with over 10 years of experience managing a complex salesforce. The role requires a leader with a proven track record in achieving performance metrics, managing expenses and revenue, and fostering trusting relationships with customers. The VP will also be accountable for training and developing the sales staff, leading sales and marketing performance, and collaborating on major customer proposals. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of NLP and Market Watch programs and be adept at setting and adjusting strategies to meet or exceed financial targets.
