Senior Director of Sales

I am currently partnered with a Nutraceutical Ingredients company based in the United States. This is a good opportunity to join a growing and well-respected organization in the Nutraceutical sector.

Position Title

Position Purpose and Objectives

The Senior Director of Sales will drive new business growth and reinvigorate the commercial function. This role focuses on expanding market presence, building strong industry relationships, and setting a new standard of performance for the sales team. The candidate will carry an initial individual sales target with the opportunity to build and lead a team as the division grows.

Essential Job Functions

Generate new business and expand the company’s customer base.
Carry and achieve an individual revenue target.
Drive aggressive outreach and develop a strong sales pipeline.
Collaborate on sales strategy and performance goals.
Build and maintain key industry relationships.
Represent the company at client meetings and industry events.
Support future team development and leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Strong understanding of the Nutraceutical Ingredients market.
Proven success in new business generation and closing complex sales.
Established industry network.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Hunter mentality with strategic thinking and high execution.

Supervisory Responsibility

Initially an individual contributor role with potential to build and lead a sales team.

Working Conditions

Remote role based in the United States.
Travel required for client visits and industry events.

Minimum Qualifications

7+ years of experience in the Nutraceutical Ingredients industry.
Demonstrated success in meeting individual sales targets.
Strong industry connections and commercial experience.

Success Factors

Ability to set strong performance standards.
Strategic, proactive, and adaptable in a fast‑growing environment.
