Assistant Residence Manager

Join to apply for the Assistant Residence Manager role at Birch Family Services . Essential Functions: Assisting in maximizing the functioning of mentally/physically handicapped adults. Ensuring quality services to all residents. Assigning work to DSP staff and overseeing Shift Supervisors. Providing supervision and oversight of the residence in the absence or conjunction with the Residence Manager. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on treatment and behavioral plans. Monitoring staff to ensure goals and behavioral support plans are implemented correctly. Attending meetings at schools and/or day treatment programs. Communicating professionally with external programs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in OPWDD-related field, with 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong documentation, verbal, and computational skills. Flexible schedule availability. Skills: Excellent communication skills to articulate the company’s philosophy and goals. Ability to present information effectively in verbal and written formats. Basic mathematical skills. Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently within guidelines. Confidentiality awareness. Physical Demands: Clear speech and hearing. Operation of routine office equipment. Travel to various sites. Long and irregular hours, including weekends and shifts. Reading data and documents. Emergency on-call work. Physical care and restraint of clients as needed. Work Environment: Noise levels typical of office and health environments. Hazards common to such environments.
