For more than a decade, Crescent and our predecessors have executed on a consistent strategy focused on cash flow, risk management and returns.  Through disciplined and accretive investments, we have successfully tripled the size of our company since going public in December 2021 while maintaining a strong balance sheet. Crescent Energy is in search of a Landman to perform all land functions within a geographical area in support of an active/operated drilling program, operated and non-operated production activities, and various other land, legal, and regulatory matters.This role will be responsible for performing all necessary duties and responsibilities related to land contracts, mineral and surface title, surface and subsurface projects, due diligence related to acquisitions and divestitures, along with playing a crucial role in development activities. To be successful in this position, the Company is seeking a highly motivated, self-driven and self-managing “Team player” is passionate about growing with the company and culture, and is agile and adaptable to a dynamic set of priorities.Key Responsibilities:Lead/coordinate/supervise the securing of surface title work, including title, curative, agreements and securing of surface locations for active development programDirect and supervise field personnel such as land brokers, surveyors and other consultants in completing projects such as lease acquisition, title/abstract work, damage settlements, ROW acquisition, etc. with a heightened focus on surface activitiesNegotiate, draft, analyze, and interpret various land contracts, including but not limited to, Operating Agreements, Oil and Gas Leases, ROWs, Farmouts, AMI/Exploration Agreements, Trade Agreements, Seismic Options, PSAs, Letter Agreements, Surface Use Agreement, Pooling Agreements, Damage Settlements, etc.Coordinate/perform/supervise the securing of mineral title work, including abstracts, title opinions and associated title curativeNegotiate, procure mineral leases and surface agreements with Tribal, Federal, Fee and State ownersDemonstrate proficiency in all aspects of land management, negotiations, relationships and communicationStrong skills and sense of partnership and community/stakeholder relationshipsRepresent the Company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances that may arise during negotiations with landowners and business activities with regulatory agenciesCoordinate/supervise/perform pre and post-acquisition or sale due diligence/title workAcquire mineral leases, drill sites, easements, surface leases, access roads, frac pits, water use and other rights as needed for drilling and production activities; Tribal, Federal, State and Fee ownersEfficient and effective communication internally and externally regarding ongoing projects, prospects, timeline strategy, etc.Serve as company liaison with landowners, local, county, state and federal regulatory agenciesAccountable for strong collaboration/leadership between office and field office interdepartmental teams.Required Experience & EducationBachelor’s degree required; Petroleum Land Management or related, preferredRPL/CPL preferred1-7years In-House Landman experience, with Rockies experience preferredFederal, Tribal and State mineral and surface experience preferredStrong experience leading and directing field personnel (i.e. land brokers, surveyors, consultants, operations-field land team) in active development area, both surface and minerals, requiredProven process focused individual with experience with implementation of value/effective/efficient processes within and across interdepartmental Teams, requiredExcellent stakeholder awareness, communication, relationship, and organizational skills, requiredSuperior ability to be a “Team Player” and efficiently and effectively drive Team, department and corporate strategic goals and initiatives, requiredCrescent Energy is an equal opportunity employer.
