Job Summary

St. Cletus School, a Catholic elementary school in St. Charles, Missouri, is seeking a faith-filled, caring, and dedicated Classroom Aide to support teachers and students in creating a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with faculty to promote academic excellence, foster student growth, and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and classroom management.
• Provide individual and small-group support to students as directed by the teacher.
• Help prepare instructional materials, classroom displays, and learning resources.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and transitions as assigned.
• Encourage positive student behavior and model respectful, Christian values in all interactions.
• Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, and safe classroom environment.
• Support students with academic, social, and emotional needs while fostering independence and confidence.
• Communicate effectively with teachers and school staff regarding student progress and classroom needs.
• Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and procedures.
• Uphold the educational mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.

Job Requirements

• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
• Patient, dependable, and compassionate with a genuine love for working with children.
• Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a school environment.
