Job Overview

Our UK-based client is hiring a full-time, remote Social Media Coordinator based in South Africa. You will plan, publish and manage content across the client's social channels, keeping the calendar full, the brand consistent and the audience engaged. This is a long-term role on UK business hours.

The client is a growing UK business that understands social media is not a side project - it is where their customers first meet them. They want a coordinator who blends creative instinct with reliable execution: someone who ships content on schedule, every week, without being chased.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and maintain the monthly content calendar across platforms

- Draft, schedule and publish posts for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and more

- Coordinate graphics, captions and hashtags with brand guidelines

- Monitor comments and messages, responding or routing promptly

- Track engagement metrics and report what is working weekly

- Research trends, formats and competitor activity for fresh ideas

- Keep a tidy content library of assets, copy and templates

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day

Mornings start with community management: replying to comments, flagging leads, and checking overnight performance. Then you move into production - preparing the next posts, briefing or building visuals, and slotting everything into the scheduler.

Through the week you will balance planned content with reactive moments, keep stakeholders updated on what is going live, and gather numbers for the weekly report. You will end each week with next week already loaded.

This suits a South African professional who is organised first and creative second - someone who loves ideas but ships on deadline, writes clean copy, and treats brand consistency as non-negotiable.
