Maintenance Technician I - 1st shift (S1248) $35.00/hour Benefits Medical Vision Short Term Disability Long Term Disability Life Insurance AD & D 401k What You’ll Accomplish Providing upmost care and maintenance for the safety and wellbeing of our employees and equipment. Operate machinery and equipment used in the manufacture of products. Read and follow manuals, work instructions, master samples, process alerts and procedures. Inspect products for surface defects and flaws. Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area at all times. Participate in audits and assist in the development of procedures and corrective action, completing all related daily and maintenance reports. Must adhere to the plant’s HACCP plans. Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s). Troubleshoot PLC‑operated packing equipment. Electrical knowledge: 110 to 480 volt. Use of handheld power tools. May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Position Summary Properly perform preventative maintenance, while ensuring a proper production flow, to the production lines. Preferred Experience Troubleshoot any issues with Injection Molding. Optimize material process to create consistent product. Direct production operators on basic troubleshooting. Installing and removing molds from the press based on production schedule. Setup of molding machine including tooling and programming. Install water lines, airlines, hot runners, or other machine utilities as needed. Carry out preventative maintenance on machines in collaboration with maintenance team. Safety Complete safety system documentation and verify compliance with program standards. Report deviations to the Environmental Health & Safety Manager. Participate in mandatory safety training program requirements. Report all safety issues, near misses, and injuries. Quality & Food Safety Complete quality and food safety system documentation and verify compliance with program standards. Report deviations to the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager. Participate in mandatory food safety and quality training program requirements. Preserve the integrity of the BRC system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the Quality Policy Manual. Take actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality system deficiencies. Report food safety and quality system failures and take actions necessary to preserve the BRC system. Position Requirements Minimum of a high school education. 3 years related field experience. Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math. Required to lift up to 50 pounds. Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility. Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils, and greases. Ability to drive a vehicle during the workday is required. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Good math and analytical skills. Good communication skills (oral and written). Ability to work well with others. Self‑Motivated. Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Computer (PC) skills, with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.). Adaptable/Flexible: Functions effectively within ever‑changing environments. Easily adjusts to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and change. Is resilient, positive, and calm under pressure.
