Job description
Title : Mechanical Design Engineer CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE
Location: Springfield, MO Onsite
Job Summary
- Support mechanical product design and New Product Development (NPD) activities.
- Develop and modify 3D CAD models using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Create complex surface and solid models using GSD techniques.
- Support engineering changes, design optimization, and product improvements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop complex 3D surface, solid, and assembly models using CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Create production drawings with GD&T and detailed engineering documentation.
- Perform design validation for fit, function, manufacturability, and performance.
- Manage ECR/ECO/ECN processes while maintaining design data integrity.
- Support product development, manufacturing, and production activities throughout the design lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of relevant mechanical/product design experience preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with CATIA 3DEXPERIENCE.
- Proficiency in GSD, complex surfacing, solid modeling, and assembly design.
- Experience with GD&T, production drawings, ECR/ECO/ECN, and NPD.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Marine, Boat/Yacht, Automotive, Aerospace, or Industrial Equipment.
- Experience with manufacturing and production support.
- Knowledge of PLM systems and engineering data management.
- Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Experience with CATIA V5 and customer design standards.
