Overview
Registered Nurse, PCU travel assignment in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: August 17, 2026. Duration: 8 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,314–$2,416 per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days (36 hours per week). Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and provide nursing care to patients across ICU, Step Down Unit, Med Surg, Day Stay Unit, PACU, and ER; maintain unit-specific competencies.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications and therapies per plan of care, document progress, and communicate changes to the care team.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based patient care and timely escalation when needed.
- Maintain patient safety through adherence to protocols, infection control practices, and accurate patient assessments.
- Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel commensurate with their scope of practice; coordinate with CNAs as needed.
- Ensure clear handoffs and continuity of care during shift changes and when transferring patients between units.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (as applicable to assignment)
- Competency across ICU, Step Down, Med Surg, Day Stay Unit, PACU, and ER units
- Ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts (36 hours per week) and adapt to a travel assignment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; documentation accuracy and consistency
- Willingness to meet credentialing and onboarding requirements for travel assignments
