Lab Support Technician

Employment Details Employment Type: Part time. Shift: Day Shift (0.5 FTE). Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm. Rotating holidays and weekend. Location: Maywood, IL. Position Overview In this role, the Lab Support Service Tech (Core) will support the delivery of patient care through the receipt, processing, and routing of specimens. Provides customer friendly service to any person requesting supplies or information by phone, computer or in person. Key Responsibilities Performs assigned duties from the pre‑analytical to post‑analytical phases of testing according to standard operating procedures. Receives and evaluates all specimens to ensure positive identification and appropriateness of sample. Works with fellow team members to properly triage and efficiently move samples through all phases of testing. Requirements High School Diploma required. Less than one year of previous job‑related experience required. Associate’s Degree or equivalent training preferred. 1–2 years of previous job‑related experience preferred.
