Laboratory Technician

Job Summary This position assists the curator of the AGSC in maintaining husbandry and breeding program of the CITES protected Ambystoma mexicanum collection at U.K. This position will be responsible for performing husbandry tasks, charting and restocking supply levels, as well as assisting in training new students, putting together animal crosses and collecting embryos. This position is also responsible for completing general lab maintenance duties. Required License/Registration/Certification None Physical Requirements Lifting objects up to 50lbs., standing for long periods of time, working around water. Shift Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40hr/week) Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
