  Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Manager to join our team. As a Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by securing corporate accounts and group business for our hotel, including meetings, conferences, corporate groups, social events, banquets, and catering services. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs, negotiate group contracts, and ensure a seamless and memorable experience for all corporate and/or group events.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel sales, with expertise in corporate, group, and catering/banquet sales. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously while working with other hotel departments to ensure excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Corporate Business Generation: Proactively review daily in-house guest lists to identify any guests staying under a company to potentially convert them into a negotiated rate account. Do 3 outside sales calls weekly to also find opportunities for a local negotiated rate. 25 Cold Calls weekly will also be expected.
• Group Sales Generation: Proactively generate, identify, and pursue group business opportunities, including meetings, conferences, corporate groups, social events, banquets, and catering functions.
• Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, particularly in the corporate and group segments to increase repeat business, drive revenue, and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Banquet & Catering Sales: Sell and coordinate catering services for events, including banquet menus, special dietary needs, and customized event setups. Collaborate with the catering team to ensure seamless execution of all catering details. As a smaller hotel, most of the business will be Corporate Events of about 15-50 guests.
• Negotiations & Contracts: Negotiate rates, catering packages, terms, and contracts with clients, ensuring both profitability and value for the hotel while meeting client expectations.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities within corporate and group business segments. San Francisco is technology heavy and you are expected to penetrate the AI and Tech segments coming into our area.
• Collaboration with Operations: Work closely with hotel operations, including catering, food & beverage, and event coordination, to ensure that group events, banquets, and catering functions are executed flawlessly.
• Sales Reports: Prepare and maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and records of activities and progress toward meeting sales targets.
• Networking: Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our services and possible catering offerings.
• Customer Service: Ensure the highest level of customer service for all business clients, from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up.
• Event Coordination: Assist with the planning and execution of events, coordinating with the restaurant team to ensure menu selections, room setups, and all other event details meet client expectations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Corporate and Group sales, event planning, hotel sales management, or catering/banquet sales.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Knowledge of the various technology systems such as Agency360, Amadeus, HelmsBriscoe, CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Delphi) and sales tracking technology.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 DOE
