Role Description The Maintenance Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Waukesha, WI. This position is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on building systems, equipment, and apartment units to ensure safe, comfortable, and well-maintained communities. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance issues, completing work orders in a timely manner, and performing preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime. The Maintenance Technician will inspect units and common areas, coordinate with property management on maintenance priorities, and assist with unit turnovers, including minor repairs and cosmetic improvements. The role also involves maintaining tools and supplies, following safety protocols, and providing professional, courteous service to residents and team members. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Equipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance for building systems, mechanical equipment, and common area facilities. Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and general building issues. Candidates should possess expertise in Preventive Maintenance to schedule and perform regular inspections and service on equipment and property assets. Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building repairs. Relevant experience in multifamily or commercial property maintenance is preferred. Ability to work independently, manage multiple work orders, and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with residents and team members.
