Key Responsibilities\n

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each client's unique needs, ensuring that all actions comply with legal and ethical standards.

• Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations to identify mental health challenges and establish rapport with clients, helping them feel secure and understood during sessions.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy, to support diverse client circumstances.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions and support family dynamics by offering insights and strategies for coping with mental health challenges.

• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation, utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for efficient data tracking and compliance.

• Engage in continued education and professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic techniques in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will be working primarily with individuals and families who have limited access to mental health care. This includes clients confronting various mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and substance misuse. You will play a key role in empowering these clients by providing them with access to the tools and support necessary for their recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating an ability to support diverse client populations.

• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
