Key Responsibilities\n

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, ensuring a personalized approach to therapy.

• Conduct assessments and provide crisis interventions as necessary, adapting therapeutic techniques to best address individual client needs.

• Lead therapy sessions focusing on a range of issues including addiction, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and gender identity challenges.

• Facilitate parent support groups aimed at equipping caregivers with strategies to combat challenges related to placement and adoption, particularly for prenatally substance-exposed children.

• Provide training and mentoring to community professionals and parents on mental health issues, enhancing community understanding and resources for families.

• Participate in regular consultations with interdisciplinary team members to review client progress and refine treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on children aged 0-21 and their families, particularly those experiencing high-risk situations. You will employ intervention strategies addressing parent-child dynamics, navigating the complexities of child development, and providing essential support in cases of child abuse or neglect. Understanding the particular challenges faced by each family unit will be critical to your success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline is required.

• An active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California is mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload.
