Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Location: Oakdale, CA
Pay Rate: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday-Saturday | 1:45 PM - 11:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations for a growing production facility in Oakdale, California. This position is responsible for driving daily production performance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and leading production teams to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with manufacturing experience and a proven ability to develop teams, solve operational challenges, and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Lead production team members in executing daily production plans while meeting quality, productivity, and cost standards
• Monitor production activities and identify opportunities for process improvements
• Troubleshoot operational issues and production bottlenecks through structured problem-solving methods
• Ensure staffing, equipment, and materials are available to support production schedules
• Coach, train, and develop employees through ongoing performance feedback and mentorship
• Support sanitation and operational activities to maintain a clean and food-safe manufacturing environment
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Promote workplace safety initiatives and support a strong safety culture
• Participate in daily planning activities and support delivery of operational goals
• Drive adherence to standard work practices and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead shift handoff meetings to ensure effective communication and alignment between teams

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience within food processing or food manufacturing environments
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to resolve operational challenges while motivating and developing team members
• Continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility and may require:

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Climbing stairs and ladders
• Bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks
• Lifting and carrying materials of varying weights
• Working around large moving equipment
• Exposure to varying temperatures and elevated noise levels
