CNC Lathe Operator

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of CNC lathe operating experience (preferred, must have some experience with CNC Lathe) and be capable of producing high-quality precision components while maintaining production efficiency and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC lathes safely and efficiently to produce parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Perform machine offsets and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Inspect and verify part quality using precision measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
• Change cutting tools as needed and ensure tooling is properly installed and maintained.
• Monitor machine performance and identify issues affecting production or quality.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Keep work area clean and organized.

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience performing machine offsets and making program adjustments as needed.
• Knowledge of precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to inspect parts and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Experience changing and maintaining cutting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking fluids.
