The Opportunity
We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Battle Creek region seeking CNC Machinists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidatesnot just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) according to specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards using precision measuring tools.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and programming.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a vocational program in machining or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Proven ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Proficient in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machinery (mills, lathes, etc.)
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
- Experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM)
