Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely and accurate processing of shipments.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality, addressing any discrepancies as needed.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of materials.
• Communicate with carriers and suppliers to schedule pickups and deliveries, optimizing transportation costs.
• Utilize inventory management software to track shipments and update records accordingly.
• Assist in training new team members on shipping and receiving procedures and best practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Proven experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and external partners.
• Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift heavy packages and operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
