Position Overview

Sustain Recovery Rehab Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Rego Park, New York. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment and therapeutic services to help our patients regain mobility, enhance their quality of life, and promote physical well-being. Work Environment

This on-site position entails a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Our team operates within a manageable caseload framework of approximately 7 patients per day, ensuring that each clinician can devote the necessary time and attention to every individual’s needs. This structure allows for extensive interaction with each patient, fostering strong relationships and promoting better recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical health, understand their medical history, and develop personalized treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Employ advanced manual therapy techniques, customized exercise regimens, and various rehabilitation strategies to enhance patients' physical function.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and monitor their progress to ensure they are achieving their mobility goals.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding proper body mechanics and long-term strategies for pain management and improved mobility.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to create integrated care strategies and ensure continuity of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner, following all regulatory and organizational guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay updated on industry trends and enhance your therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Sustain Recovery Rehab Center, you will work primarily with a diverse outpatient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions affecting mobility. Your role will focus on delivering tailored therapeutic interventions that address each patient’s unique challenges while also motivating them toward their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience
