Work Environment

The role of Physician Assistant is based onsite at our modern Surgical Center, designed to accommodate a fast-paced and dynamic urgent care environment. You will work Monday to Friday in a 40-hour weekly schedule, beginning at 5:00 PM each day. Our facility fosters a collaborative culture where team members support each other to ensure optimal patient care. The urgent care setting is specifically designed to handle a variety of urgent health issues in a timely manner, providing the right care at the right time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and meticulously review medical histories to assess health conditions.
• Order, interpret, and analyze a range of diagnostic tests such as blood work and X-rays to identify health issues quickly.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans for both acute illnesses and chronic health conditions, addressing patients’ unique needs.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patients to evaluate their response to treatment, adjusting plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records through electronic health systems, ensuring compliance with all health regulations.
• Educate patients and their families about diseases, preventive healthcare measures, and wellness strategies to empower them in their health management.
• Monitor and oversee the overall well-being of patients, ensuring they receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
• Promote wellness initiatives and healthy lifestyle practices within the patient community.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, including training, workshops, and research activities to remain current in the healthcare field.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and an active DEA number.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Master’s degree.
• Demonstrated experience as a Physician Assistant in urgent care, ER, hospital, or clinic settings.
• Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices in primary and urgent care.
• Exceptional communication skills are essential for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
