Work Environment

The successful candidate will be situated onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center in Galveston, Texas. This full-time position operates during the evening shift from 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, contributing to our commitment to accessibility for patients seeking immediate care. Our Surgical Center is equipped with the latest medical technologies and staffed by specialists ready to assist in complex cases, providing a collaborative environment that enhances patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and review medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and X-rays, to guide clinical decisions.
• Diagnose and provide treatment for a variety of acute medical conditions, including but not limited to infections, injuries, and chronic disease exacerbations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, with a special focus on chronic disease management.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate, monitoring their effects and adjusting plans as necessary for optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous and organized patient records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Educate patients and their families on chronic disease processes, preventive medicine, and health maintenance, empowering them to take charge of their health.
• Foster an environment of safety and well-being by promoting healthy practices and engagement in proactive health management.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current with advancements in healthcare practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient demographic, which includes families, individuals, and children, many of whom require immediate medical attention. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies preferred.
• A valid Texas Physician Assistant license (PA-C) is required; DEA registration is also necessary.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in urgent care, emergency department, or a primary care setting is mandatory.
• Demonstrated proficiency in acute and primary care, alongside a solid understanding of health regulations and patient care protocols.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in an acute care setting with a focus on urgent care services.
• Additional certifications or training that enhance the ability to deliver comprehensive primary care.
• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required, as we serve a diverse patient population.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a highly competitive salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 180,000 annually, depending on experience.
