Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments using standardized diagnostic criteria to accurately identify various mental health disorders.
• Develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions, ensuring these plans are tailored to meet each patient's specific needs.
• Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications, making necessary adjustments based on the patient’s response and any emerging side effects.
• Deliver psychotherapy services using a diverse array of therapeutic methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), promoting behavioral change and emotional regulation.
• Collaborate proactively with other healthcare professionals within our multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care approaches that address both physical and mental health needs.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health challenges, treatment options, and self-management strategies to empower them in their health journey.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any changes in symptoms to ensure continuity of care and enhance clinical oversight.
• Facilitate regular follow-ups to evaluate treatment efficacy, adjust care plans, and address any concerns or developments in a patient’s condition.
• Participate in team meetings and clinical supervision sessions aimed at sharing knowledge, enhancing clinical skills, and improving overall patient outcomes.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing psychiatric care.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing with a focus on psychiatric mental health.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in Texas with board certification in psychiatric mental health.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
