Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments to effectively diagnose and create individualized treatment plans for patients struggling with mental health issues.
• Manage medications across a diverse patient population, continuously monitoring treatment efficacy and making necessary adjustments based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with primary care providers, fellow clinicians, and support staff, ensuring seamless integration of behavioral and physical health care.
• Provide crisis intervention services and emotional support to patients experiencing acute mental health distress, utilizing trauma-informed care principles.
• Engage in community outreach efforts, leading educational initiatives that raise awareness about mental health resources and destigmatize seeking help.
• Deliver therapeutic counseling and psychoeducation sessions to empower patients and improve their coping strategies and overall mental health.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining accurate and confidential patient records, fostering trust and safety in patient interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will service a diverse and multifaceted patient demographic at our Assisted Living Facility. Here, you will work with individuals across various age groups presenting different mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other psychiatric disorders. The clinic emphasizes an inclusive approach, fostering trust and communication to effectively serve our community's mental health needs.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
• State licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a psychiatric specialization is a must.
• A strong foundation in mental health care practices and an understanding of integrated health care models.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a community health center or similar healthcare setting is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and engage patients in a supportive manner.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
