Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
• Formulating and implementing tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices that align with each patient's unique needs.
• Prescribing and managing psychotropic medications, continually monitoring their effectiveness and adjusting dosages as necessary.
• Delivering various forms of therapy, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), both individually and in group settings.
• Coordinating with other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care that encompasses all aspects of an individual’s health.
• Providing education to patients and their families about mental health conditions and effective self-care strategies.
• Maintaining detailed documentation of patient progress, responses to treatment, and adjustments to care plans in compliance with legal and ethical regulations.
• Leading interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and share insights on effective treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse client population of adults, adolescents, and families seeking help for a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma-related disorders, and more. Your work will directly contribute to improving the emotional and psychological well-being of your patients, providing them with the skills and support necessary to navigate their mental health journeys.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• A current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
• Board certification from a recognized body as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
• In-depth knowledge and clinical experience in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in psychiatric and mental health settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in employing various therapeutic interventions and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits
